OUR STAFF
PERSONNEL:
Often companies take the opportunity to sing their own praises, and indulge in
self- promotion by including a list of various staff members with their biographical
information included. As you might expect, these blurbs make each staff member
sound like that have previously been the most valued and trusted staff member at
some prestigious and recognizable organization (bank, large accounting firm, large
trust department, governmental agency, etc.) Never do they tell you why this highly
valued staff member has chosen to abandon the accolades they were so entitled to at
these previous assignments. They only emphasize how lucky you are to have stumbled
upon the organization where they all elected to continue their sterling careers.
We take a very different approach to our staff. We believe in anonymity for our
clients. We strive to create and preserve that for a clientele that has made it
clear that it has value. Many of our staff have enjoyed success at other financial
and trust institutions. Our goal and theirs is to provide secure and confidential
services to Prudential's clientele. It is not to showcase their own credentials.
We insist on anonymity for our staff as well. The reason
for this may not be as clear, so bear with us for a moment.
There is a great deal of upheaval in the "offshore world" today. News articles
predict the end of the tax-haven jurisdictions as we know them. International
organizations, driven by the power and objectives of nations such as the U.S., the
UK and other members of the EU are attempting to flex their muscles. The OECD and
the FATF have published their "black lists" of nations that are not cooperative
with information sharing with the big boys on the block and where they perceive
that national policy is detrimental and harmful from a tax enforcement point of view.
The upthrust of this is what we have predicted and prepared for, for years. Many of
the international financial centers (tax-havens) will make amendments to their laws,
making it somewhat easier for the big boys (U.S., UK, Canada, etc.) to obtain
information from institutions such as banks which have correspondent relationships
with banks in the larger neighboring jurisdictions. One means of enforcing this
international extortion, is the ability to bring individual pressure to bear on bank
employees who work in banks such as Barclays, Royal Bank of Canada, Royal Bank of
Scotland, etc.
This plan can work only if the identities of the personnel can be ascertained.
Our staff have been carefully selected from the pool of experienced staff members
available in the largest of the offshore financial centers. Some are Bahamian. Some
are British, long-term residents in the Bahamas. Some are Americans, whose identity
has been completely masked. There is no point at which pressure can be brought upon
these staff members.
Because Prudential Trustees, Ltd. is in fact a Nevis company, with staff and offices
located in the Bahamas, there is no easy access to the information that would be
required to pressure our staff. Our staff enjoys the security of this anonymity.
Our clients enjoy the result. We utilize a systems approach to ensure both the
quality of our staff and the security of the information with which they are entrusted.
LOCATION & SYSTEM:
Our Administrative/Clerical Offices are located in a secure facility in Freeport,
Bahama. The operations are protected not only by the physical structure in which
they are housed but by the laws and regulations of not only the government of the
Bahamas, but also the free port operated there under international law. Our personnel
pass through a series of securities checks both on entering and exiting the facility.
The servers that house important and confidential information are not linked to the
servers that have Internet access. This makes it impossible for a hacker (free lance
or government agent) to intrude into our data. It also means that no one staff member
could be compromised and capable of transmitting such confidential information out of
the facility. Information that is to be made available, either to our web site or
otherwise accessible over the Net, is first downloaded, screened, and transferred to
encryption protected access servers.
Our Executive Offices are located in the Financial District in Nassau, Bahamas. The
offices of Pindling & Co., Attorneys & Counselors at Law are located at Oranyan
House, Shirley Street, Nassau, Bahamas. Pindling & Co. boasts as its founder, the
late Honorable Sir Lynden Pindling, the Bahamas first independent Prime Minister who
ruled for a quarter of a century. Sir Lynden's funeral in September 2000, was
attended by over 20 heads of state. He was honored as the Father of the Bahamas.
Obi Pindling remains the managing shareholders and principal in this firm. Also
located at this venue is the firm of American Barristers, PA, Ltd. We are proud to
have our Executive Offices located at the same venue as these two firms. At this
location, we provide conference and office space for senior personnel of the company.
We therefore do not maintain any sensitive information in electronic or hard copy files at
this venue.
