OUR ASSOCIATES

It is an old but true adage that you can tell much about someone by the company they keep. This is not only true of individuals but of professional organizations. Prudential Trustees, Ltd. believes that other professional organizations are proud to list Prudential among their closest professional associates. Below, we briefly introduce you to some of our valued associations.

PINDLING & CO., Attorneys & Counselors at Law:

Pindling & Co. is one of the marquee law firms in the Bahamas. The senior principal in the firm was, until August 2000, Sir Lynden Pindling, who served as his country's first Prime Minister for a quarter of a century. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth knighted him for his extraordinary service to his country and the Realm. Over 20 heads of State attended his State funeral. The current Prime Minister referred to Sir Lynden as the "Moses of the Bahamian People." The other principal is Mr. Obafemi Pindling, Sir Lynden's son. Obafemi has practiced law in Nassau and Freeport for many years. He possesses great expertise in all areas of corporate law and the use of exempt companies and trusts. The firm is highly respected in the legal community as well as the community as a whole. The firm has been engaged in a full range of legal representation for over 30 years.

AMERICAN BARRISTERS, PA:

American Barristers, PA is an American law firm, licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. The principal shareholder, Hal Uhrig, Esq., has been practicing law for over 25 years. He has been the General Counsel for a large Sheriff's Department (over 1000 employees), Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida, a board certified trial attorney, and college professor. Since the early 90's he has practiced almost exclusively in the area of offshore strategies, asset protection and tax and financial planning. American Barristers, PA has drafted and implemented over 2000 domestic and foreign trusts in the past ten years.

AMERICAN BARRISTERS, PA, LTD.:

American Barristers, PA, Ltd. is a firm domiciled in the Bahamas, under license from American Barristers, PA. It is located in Nassau, in the same building as Pindling & Co. and was organized to work in conjunction with both the American and Bahamas law firms. Clients of American Barristers, PA, Ltd. enjoy not only the protection of attorney-client privilege, but also the protection of the strict fiduciary confidentiality laws of the Bahamas. Citizens of the U.S. and Canada can enjoy advice from a combination of American and Bahamian lawyers so as to ensure compliance with the laws of the tax- haven jurisdiction and the laws of their own country. This firm enjoys a clientele that ranges from individuals to large corporations and trusts.

UNIVERSAL DOCUMENTS, LTD.:

Universal Documents, Ltd. has been an offshore service provider for many years. With offices located in Nassau, Bahamas, Universal has emphasized service to other offshore service professionals. This company has provided trust documents, company formation services, and document production services to law firms, trustee companies, management companies and accountants as well as to individuals. Because it uses both American and Bahamian legal firms as its legal advisors, the quality of the work product marketed by them is unequaled in the Bahamas.

WORLDWIDE EMPOYERS TRUST:

Worldwide Employers Trust is an international organization, located in the Bahamas that specializes in providing consultancy services to offshore corporations and trusts. Where an offshore trust or company identifies the need for a consultant, especially one located in a country such as the U.S., Canada or a European country, Worldwide provides the solution. They will employ a consultant and then broker that consultant's services to the trust or company involved. Worldwide then administers the payment plan and the record keeping. It may also arrange for a credit card in the name of a related company, also bearing the name of the consultant in order to make resources readily available to the consultant. The availability of services from Worldwide makes it possible for Prudential to offer a greater depth of service to its clientele.

BARCLAYS BANK, PLC, (Bahamas):

Barclays Bank is one of the oldest and most respected names in international banking. It is also one of the world's largest banks. The Barclays Bank in the Bahamas enjoys the resources of this huge international banking organization, without subjecting its records to scrutiny or examination by home office bankers in jurisdictions where privacy is not so treasured. Barclays permits accounts to be held in your currency of choice. Barclays is one of the banks with which Prudential maintains both a professional relationship and accounts.

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND (Bahamas):

While perhaps not as well known as Barclays, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) enjoys a comparable international record of respect. RBS is larger than any bank chartered in the United States (including Chase Manhattan and CitiBank). RBS in the Bahamas is not a "commercial bank" open to the public for commercial banking. It does not have teller windows or drive thru. Its clients tend to have larger accounts and demand the highest quality of banking service. Like all banks in the Bahamas, the Royal Bank carefully vets each prospective depositor to avoid dealing with drug dealers or money-launderers. RBS is another of the banks with which Prudential maintains a good banking relationship.

PRICE WATERHOUSE COOPERS (Bahamas):

Price Waterhouse Coopers is one of the largest accounting and international consulting firms in the world. The Nassau, Bahamas location is sufficiently autonomous that its records and client information is not shared with offices in the U.S. or other countries. Notwithstanding that, Prudential does not share privileged client information, even with this world-class company. Rather, when Prudential has a specialized accounting or auditing need, it has decided to turn to another world leader. One could hardly do better than to establish a quality relationship with Price Waterhouse Coopers for this purpose.
