Prudential Trustees, Ltd. has been appointed as the Trustee for the Hague Master Trust, a large
international trust originating in the Netherlands, and currently constituted and settled under
the laws of Nevis, British West Indies. The Deed of Trust for this international trust is, of
course subject to the highest level of confidentiality, but we are authorized to disclose that
it empowers the Trustee of the Master Trust to settle as many "sub-trusts" as the Trustee deems
appropriate. The Master Trust becomes the legal as well as the putative Settlor for each
sub-trust so settled. It is through this mechanism that Prudential is able to offer its services
as a Trustee Company to persons and legal entities that are legally and financially independent
of the Master Trust.
As the Settlor of each sub-trust, the Hague Master Trust is empowered to appoint the Trustee of
the newly settled sub-trusts. In that regard, the Protector Committee of the Master Trust has,
appointed Prudential Trustees, Ltd. to act in the capacity of Trustee for each new sub-trust.
Each sub-trust, from the date of its creation enjoys the double layer of protective legal armor
afforded by the protective trust legislation in Nevis. It has the protective mechanisms and
provisions drafted into its own trust documentation. It also enjoys the umbrella protection of
the terms and conditions of the Master Trust.
We are unaware of any other substantial International Master Trust that has authorized such an
arrangement for the protection of sub-trusts. To take advantage of this unique legal arrangement,
a potential client will engage the services of American Barristers, P.A., Ltd.
to review the circumstances under which that potential client may benefit from the use of an
"offshore strategy." If that firm and the potential client agree that the client's needs can
be met through the implementation of such an arrangement, the client will provide information
to American Barristers, P.A., Ltd. This information will be taken under the protective mantel
of the attorney-client relationship. The firm will perform basic due diligence on the client,
and if found acceptable, the firm will work with the client to secure the exclusive use and
access to one of the sub-trusts settled by the Hague Master Trust.
